Airlines, railways, and passenger cars will be allowed to operate normally again in Da Nang, starting September 7.
On Sunday afternoon, the Ministry of Transport instructed relevant agencies to inform enterprises that all passenger transportation can resume operations to pre-Covid-19 outbreak levels in the central city.
Passengers are still required to file a medical report and wear masks. Vehicles departing from Da Nang must implement social distancing between passengers.
Da Nang had eased its social distancing campaign starting September 5 after bringing its Covid-19 outbreak under control. The city has seven days with no new coronavirus infections.
It now allows restaurants, shops, food and beverage establishments to offer takeaway services.
Da Nang had previously asked the Ministry of Transport to restoration of domestic transportation of road, railway, and airway routes to and from the city in order to restore economic development and ensure social security.
Since July 24, when local transmissions returned to Vietnam after more than three months, Da Nang has had 389 Covid-19 patients. From July 28, flights, buses, as well as trains to and from the city had to cease operations completely.
