The Report consists of the following parts:
Part I: Background
This Part describes the general background: some brief information relating to the Model Law and the necessity for adoption of the Model Law in Viet Nam.
Part II: Main issues
1. Comparison of the UNCITRAL Model Law and the Vietnamese law
This Section introduces the content of recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards in New York Convention and the Model Law, relevant Vietnamese law and compares them to show the similarities and differences.
2. Assessment of the recent record of Viet Nam on the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards
3. International experience
Part III: The possibility of application of the UNCITRAL Model Law in Viet Nam
This Part gives some general views on the main issues and suggestions.
