3 STEPS TO APPLY FOR A WORK PERMIT FOR FOREIGN WORKERS ONLINE

Step 1: Register an online transaction account

First of all, the employer who recruits and employs foreign workers (an enterprise) must:

• Register an online transaction account.
• Declare the enterprise’s information on the electronic portal system.

Step 2: Register enterprise’s demand for using foreign workers

At least 20 days before the planned date of employing foreign workers, the employer (excluding contractors) must:

• Declare information on the declaration form.
• Submit the explanation about his/her demand for employment of foreign workers according to the Form No. 01 of Circular No.40/2016/TT-BLĐTBXH of the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs to the approving authority through the website.

Step 3: Prepare a dossier for applying for Work Permit for foreign workers

After receiving written notice of approval for the employment position of foreign worker, at least 7 working days prior to the foreign workers’ expected start date:

• The employer who recruits and employs foreign workers must submit 01 set of dossier to apply for a work permit for foreign workers, which will be submitted to the authority issuing the work permit through the website.
